Biographical Information
Annie is a joint MS / MBA student with a passion for clean technology, energy and the environment. Through E-IPER, Annie seeks to gain a deeper understanding of energy science and fundamentals, systems engineering, and regulatory frameworks. She plans to pursue a career in clean technology investing and entrepreneurship.
Annie is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Brown University where she received a B.S. in Biotechnology and completed a Hughes Fellowship that evaluated private sector development of tissue engineering and stem cell technologies.
Research Interests
Annie is particularly interested in emerging clean technologies and the technical and business challenges associated with bringing these technologies to market.
Professional Activities
Prior to arriving at Stanford, Annie was an Analyst at Draper Fisher Jurvetson (DFJ) where she focused on clean technology investments. While at DFJ she worked with entrepreneurs across a variety of clean technology verticals, solidifying her passion for the space. Prior to joining DFJ, Annie was an Investment Banking Analyst in Morgan Stanley’s Financial Sponsors Group in San Francisco where she focused on leveraged buyouts and initial public offerings. Annie is also a Co-Founder of KnowledgeBeat, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering African children through education with an emphasis on environmental education and girls advancement.
